Erin Gould is the assistant to the president of the Stanley Foundation. Before coming to the foundation, she supported C-level executives for over four years and has worked for nonprofit organizations for over 14 years. Her bachelor of business management degree came from Western Illinois University, where she was also involved in athletics and school government activities.
What do you do at the foundation and how long have you been here?
I joined the foundation in September 2016. As the assistant to the president, I provide administrative support and manage a variety of special projects. I also provide administrative support for the policy programming staff.
What do you like most about your job?
Being a part of an organization that focuses on peace and security is incredibly fulfilling. I am surrounded by a diverse and passionate group of people who provide opportunities for education and inspiration while working toward shared goals surrounding critical global issues.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised here in Muscatine. I went to college in Illinois and lived in the Quad Cities for a few years, but family brought me back to my hometown.
What are your hobbies?
I have enjoyed being a swim team coach for the Muscatine Community YMCA for the last four years. When I find a free moment outside of work and swim club, I enjoy reading, gardening, and traveling.
