Anne Lamb
Administrative Specialist

Anne Lamb is an administrative specialist supporting the policy programming team. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in English and previously interned at the foundation in 2008 as a copy editor. She worked as a customer service representative and administrative assistant for eight years prior to joining the foundation in 2018.

What do you do at the foundation and how long have you been here?

I started at the Stanley Foundation in March 2018 as an administrative specialist. I support the policy programming team in any way I can—I am still learning.

What do you like most about your job?

I like seeing the changes and good that can come from supporting others, both within the foundation and in collaboration with others.

Where are you from?

I was born in Illinois but grew up in Muscatine, Iowa. My husband and I are lucky to have both our families in the immediate area—it is a great support system for us to have while juggling busy schedules and raising two young kids.

What are your hobbies?

Most of my time outside work is spent making sure my kiddos don’t irreparably harm themselves or each other. I also do endless loads of laundry (which I don’t enjoy, but it’s sure time consuming). When I have time, I like to read and pretend I’m crafty; I say “pretend” because my projects never seem to turn out quite how I imagine. I also try to stay involved in the activities of my nieces and nephews, and enjoy spending time with family.
