
Planetary Security Conference Media Fellowship
February 18, 2019 - February 21, 2019
The Hague, Netherlands Together with Amsterdam-based Free Press Unlimited, the Stanley Foundation has organized a four-day media fellowship from February 18–21, 2019, for fifteen journalists to attend the fourth annual Planetary Security Conference in The Hague, Netherlands, with two day-long workshops before and after the conference. The journalists will receive guidance and input from two seasoned journalism trainers as well as foundation and Free Press Unlimited staff, and will participate in other programmed activities to facilitate quality interaction with conference attendees and to promote reporting during and after the fellowship. Participating journalists are from Mali, Iraq, the Lake Chad Basin, and the Caribbean, which are the spotlight regions at the conference. Invitation Only

59th Strategy for Peace Conference The Stanley Foundation convenes its Strategy for Peace Conference annually to consider key policy challenges, drawing on the experience and knowledge of invited experts from the public and private sectors. Concurrent roundtables focused on each of the foundation’s three current areas of programming—climate change, nuclear policy, and mass violence and atrocities, with a fourth roundtable focusing on global governance.
